What is paraLLM, in one sentence?
While you wait for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to answer, paraLLM can gently introduce you to another person exploring the same subject, for a short, private, optional chat.
Does it change or slow down my AI?
No. paraLLM never touches or delays your request to the AI. It works quietly beside the official ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini websites and only notices the topic of the prompt you just sent.
Can other people see what I typed?
No. By default, others only see a short topic summary generated from a fixed vocabulary, for example “Marketing a consumer finance app.” None of your actual words are ever copied into it. Your raw prompt is never stored and never shared.
What if my prompt is personal or sensitive?
It is caught and kept private before it ever leaves your browser. Anything that looks like a password, code, key, card or account number, address, phone number, email, medical detail, or a personal crisis is withheld automatically. You will see a small note that the prompt was kept private, and nothing is sent.
Is it free?
Yes. paraLLM is free to use, and there is no monetization in this version.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start as an anonymous guest in two clicks, with no email required. An account is optional, and only useful if you want your match history and settings to follow you between browsers.
Am I anonymous in a room?
Yes. In every room you appear under a friendly generated alias such as CedarFox. There are no public profiles, no followers, no search, and no way to message anyone outside an active matched room.
How do I stay safe?
- Never share personal, financial, or contact information with a stranger.
- Use the report and block buttons if anyone makes you uncomfortable.
- Blocking is permanent, and the other person is never told.
- Rooms are temporary and close on their own.
- If you ever feel in danger, contact your local emergency services.
How does matching actually work?
Your recent prompts form a short-lived “topic profile” that is compared with other people searching right now. A match is offered only when the topics are genuinely close, and a room opens only when you both accept. Declining costs nothing and is never held against you.

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini today. Others are planned.
How do I turn it off?
Matching is off until you switch it on. You can pause everything instantly from the dashboard or the extension, change what is shared in your settings, or delete your account and all its data whenever you like.
What permissions does the extension need?
Only what it must: access to the ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini websites (to notice your prompt and show the panel), local storage (to keep your session on your own device), and alarms (to run a periodic health check). It requests no access to other sites, your history, your cookies, or your saved passwords, and it contains no API keys.
